What is your most memorable Gravel Worlds experience?
“My first year, I wanted to quit right at the start. But then I took a nice nap at the oasis and felt better. I felt so proud when I crossed the finish line because I was the youngest to do the Buccaneer. Getting interviewed was pretty cool too.”
What did that experience teach you?
“It taught me not to quit before even starting. You’re stronger and more capable than you think, even if you doubt yourself. I learned I’m tougher than I knew.”
Would you like to shout out any people who made that day special for you?
“Sofia is my biggest cheerleader and total fan every time. My dad helped me all the way from start to finish. And everyone who biked past me motivated me in a really positive way.”
What would you like to tell someone if they were debating on signing up for an event like Gravel Worlds?
“Once you start, commit to it. You’ll be surprised at what you can do. All the people are so nice. And once you make it to the top of the hill, you get to enjoy the ride down.”
