We Need You!!
Volunteers make our event possible! Whether you can help for a couple of hours or the entire weekend, any help is appreciated!
Donation Given on Behalf of Every Volunteer!
As a thank you to our volunteers, we will make a donation on behalf of the Gravel Worlds Volunteers!
Donations will be made to the Randy Gibson Memorial Fund
$2,000 raised for the Lincoln Park Foundation!
Thank you to each of our Volunteers that make our event possible.
Do you have someone you know riding?
Since our race is completely self-supported - the only way to see your rider on the course is to volunteer at a checkpoint.
Ask what your rider plans to average for their speed.
Check out the charts below for the time they will arrive at checkpoints (be sure to check that their distance goes through the checkpoint).
Sign up for a shift at the checkpoint that overlaps with that time to cheer them & other riders on!
Jason Strohbehn: Race Director
“Volunteers are the most important part of our event. From setup to tear down, we wouldn’t be able to function without each and every one of our amazing volunteers. Your volunteering also allows us to donate a big portion of our profits to the Lincoln Parks Foundation and other non-profits around the city and state.”
Thank you so much for considering volunteering to help our event!
We truly couldn’t do it without you.
Have you already signed up to volunteer for 2024?
First off - THANK YOU! Below you can find important information for race day!
As always please reach out to our volunteer coordinator if you have any questions:

Volunteer Check In will be at the Event Center in the Expo/Check In area! If you are volunteering at a checkpoint/on course it would be easiest to come Thursday/Friday as you will need your shirt to wear for your shift!
Thurs 12-7 pm
Friday 10 am - 7 pm
(If you are working at the event center you can check in before your shift)
