"At Gravel Worlds, surrounded by fellow riders and the beautiful outdoors, I rediscovered my strength and passion for riding."
From Behind the Corn 09: Dakota
"It’s going to challenge you in some way, and you might have to fight it. This group has ensured that you’ll be challenged but you’ll be safe and in good hands no matter the route, long or short or DNF. But I will promise you this. no matter what or when you make it through the finish line, the family is going to be cheering for you, LOUD."
From Behind the Corn 08: The ONeal Fam
"What made the day even more special was having my wife, Melissa, there to support us. She was our biggest cheerleader, waiting at the finish line to take pictures and celebrate with us. At the end of the day, it wasn't about the race results. The most important thing was that we were out there together, father and son, enjoying the ride and making memories that will last a lifetime.”
From Behind the Corn 07: Erin Kunst
“Challenges make us stronger. They bring us together. It doesn't matter if you want a podium, a PR, or just to get to the finish line. Go do something hard that scares you. You'll be a better human because of it. When you cross the finish line, sweaty, dusty (or muddy if it rains), and tired, I also guarantee that your heart will be full and there will be a smile on your face. Then, you can have a cold beverage and a good meal with friends you never knew you needed.”
From Behind the Corn 06: Sophie St-Jacques
“but truly the reason we keep coming back is the community and the whole Gravel Worlds family/staffs/volunteers. Their energy is unmatched and they make us feel special and at home!”
From Behind the Corn 05: River Kimberly-Martinez
“It taught me not to quit before even starting. You’re stronger and more capable than you think, even if you doubt yourself. I learned I’m tougher than I knew.”

From Behind the Corn 03: Heather Skipworth
“There may be blisters and muscle cramps, but they will be outshined by the following: The morning sky in Nebraska was breathtaking. The rolling hills were massive, but beautiful. That ice cold Coke at the second aid station was supreme.”
From Behind the Corn 02: Laci Reinke
“Having helped with several running races, I also knew what it took to put on such a large event, so I started volunteering more. Aid stations, start/finish chute set up, packet pick up - getting to talk to and meet other gravel enthusiasts really brought home the meaning of "gravel family". I have a lot of gratitude for the "be cool" mantra of Gravel Worlds.”
From Behind the Corn 01: Claire Reinert:
“Did I show up? Yes. Did I finish it? Yes. Was it the hardest event I have ever done? Also, yes.”
