Behind The Name
The Shakelton Endurance was a three-masted ship that became stuck in the ice during a 1915 Antarctic expedition led by Sir Ernest Shackleton. The crew survived on the frozen icecaps of Antarctica before being rescued over 8 months later. The captain and crew survived all odds and survived because of the incredible mental and physical strength they had together.
The Endurance shipwreck was finally found in March of 2022.
