100% OF pro race costs are paid for by:
This ensures our pro race will never raise the cost or lower the experience of the 99% of riders who come to experience Gravel Worlds!

We are out to prove that one event can celebrate the peak of human performance, while also celebrating every participant that’s persevered through their own challenges. Our commitment to inclusivity means we’re elevating the experience for every participant.
We encourage every pro/elite athlete to stay after dark to celebrate with our First 2 Last Party. We will be hosting a party in the finish line to celebrate until cut off at 9:59 pm. Please come and cheer on those riders who have persevered through 14-16 hours of grueling gravel grinding!

Pro/Elite Category Information
We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to uplift our pro/elite racing at Gravel Worlds®! But we want to be very clear, that our focus has not left from the 99% of riders who never will or never want to stand on top of the podium and who are at Gravel Worlds to experience their own goals and challenges. Please know that we love celebrating what our pros can put their bodies through, but we will always spend most of our time and resources on those whose biggest competition is themselves.

How To Apply
We will be working on an unbiased metric to narrow down race entries for the pro field to keep the pro field at a safe size and make sure the talent of riders involved are safe to race in the field. We will be posting more information soon.
Rules for Pro/Elite Category
In addition to the 9 Basic Rules of Gravel Worlds, the pro/elite category will have an additional set of rules. This is to create as much safety as possible among all participants and staff.
We will be updating the full rule book as we get closer to race day, but here are some rules we want to clarify now.
RULE #1: BE COOL!!
This is the rule across all our events, but as the leaders of our race we hold our pro athletes to the highest standards.
Treating volunteers, event promoters, and fellow participants with blatant disrespect will NOT be tolerated.
Self Supported!!
Every rider at Gravel Worlds is given the exact same opportunity of resources once they leave the start line. The only opportunity for refuel will be at the provided checkpoints and oases.
If you need it, bring it with you! No Drop Bags or Outside support.
If there is a special nutrition, hydration, mechanical item, or good luck charm you need, BRING IT WITH YOU!
No team vehicles or team representatives on course or at checkpoints.
If you are interested in having a film crew, you must receive a media pass agreeing to all self-supported rules. If a rider or team’s media team violates these rules, the Gravel Worlds staff reserves the right to disqualify all riders directly involved.
See Full rules for more details
Separate Starts
The Men’s and Women’s pro/elite fields will have separate starts.
Pro Women are not allowed to interact with men participants (PRO or GENERAL FIELD) if they would like an official place and payout. Drafting or taking support from a men’s race participant will result in official placement and payouts in the PRO Women’s fields.
Men (PRO or GENERAL FIELD) who are deemed to be intentionally interacting with or interfering with the Pro Women’s field will be disqualified.
NUMBER PLATES
Riders are required to properly display two number plates. Both must be visible at all times.
Seat Number: Must be applied to display from both the left and right side of the bike.
Body Number: Must be applied on the left side of the lower back to be visible from behind and the left side of the person.
Equipment
Lights: All PRO riders are required to start/end with a front and rear light. The 150 race starts in the dark and it is state and local law to have a front and rear light until sunrise.
Aero Bars: AERO BARS ARE BANNED for all Pro racers. With the increase in size and speed of the pro field, we have made the decision to ban aero bars in the pro field.
NO TEAM RADIOS
